As a director her short films have screened at Chelsea Film Festival New York, Icaro International Film Festival Guatemala, Kinofilm Manchester Short Film Festival and Corto Circuito New York. She recently directed the 2nd Unit for The Food that Built America S4, documentary series by History Channel.

Palmieri has 1st AD'd more than 12 feature films in New York, Nigeria, Cambodia, Bolivia & Guatemala, premiering in festivals like Berlinale & Venice International Film Critics’ week. Mónica works in TV, commercials & episodic, for companies like HBO, Netflix, Amazon, A24, History Channel & Comedy Central.
